Poeira Douro 2007
Obviously deep color, but not completly opaque. Floral notes strike first followed by tones of vanilla, grilled bread and riped black currants/plums/cherries notes. Probably some herbal notes or esteva/oregano too on the end of the bouquet. The palate is showing smooth entry, medium body, dry, red fruits flavours, good acidity, some oak, then tannins kicks in and leave a bitter finish that builds in intensity for 10-15 seconds. Appart from the bitter finish that dominates the wine for now, this wine shows great balance, freshness and purity. A 2003 drank recently was fantastic and this wine surely look to follow the same path. 17/20+

I wish these their wines were easier to find near me, as I've only had a limited exposure to them but I liked what I had.
