20 Year Old Tawny Port by Graham's
(Bottled in 2010) Given that the blizzard is upon us in Chicago, I figured this was as good a time as any to get acquainted with this bottle. I'm not finding a lot of note on the nose of this one. As for what I taste, I have tasted dried fruit (prunes, apricots, you name it) and honey, for the most part. There is noticeable heat that comes in and out of the overall picture. There is an okay finish, not awesome by any means. Hey, I'm just happy to have this to help me weather the big storm here. It was at its best today when I poured myself some after shoveling this afternoon. I hope it will show especially well after the big shoveling I will have to do tomorrow. I am sure that there is better 20 year than this, but $40 a bottle at Costco certainly made it worth a shot.

I find this by the glass on the wine lists of many restaurants, and have tried it on such occasions. Your note reflects my experience--a very nice drinking tawny, but not spectacular; so it would seem to hold up in the restaurant environment.

Re: Graham's 20 Year Tawny
I agree this is an enjoyable Port which I've had numerous times. I'd never say no if offered, but compared to some other 20 year tawny's it's lacking in the complexity department. That said Brian, your having to deal with the weather mess in Chicago right now, I'm sure any Port would be more than welcomed ![Toast [cheers.gif]](./images/smilies/cheers.gif)
