6 Hours Later – Browned in color. Tastes of molasses, toffee and tangerine flesh developed. The acidity persists as does the long finish. Others thought there is vanilla on the nose and taste almonds, apricots, and black cherries.
It’s pretty obvious this Colheita (1853) was “freshened” at some point, but does not deter this from being a fine Colheita in its own right.
