During Easter holidays we were four people that tasted three Douro white wines (2008 Niepoort Redoma Branco, 2008 Niepoort Tiara, 2009 Guru (Wine & Soul)). They were first tasted on their own, and then together with five different types of seafood (small shrimps, scampi, scallops, small crabs and king crabs, latter also called Kamchatka crabs).
Light yellow-green colour. Complex aroma of citrus, minerals (wet stone) and some undefined fruit. Medium body. Balanced acidity / fruit, although acidity more dominant than in the Redoma Branco. Finish was medium length. Riesling style? 88 pts.
