Bottled in 2010 - produced by the cooperative Caves Vale do Rodo. This is the first time I've ever come across the brand and my curiosity got the best of me.
Color: Somewhere between light red and amber/orange
Nose: Hazelnut, marmalade, old wood and strawberry/cherry fruit
Palate: Light mouthfeel, medium sweetness, citrusy acidity, a bit too much heat comes through, even after extended air time but shows a nice blend of fruit and nut flavors
Finish: Medium length with a lingering nuttiness
All in all a nice glass if a bit on the spirity side. 87 pts, Tasted 5/11

Re: NV Porto Reccua 10 Year Old Tawny
A new one on me. One visit to Portugal will have to include visiting some of the cooperatives, although they produce a lot of juice, not often is a gem found.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
