2003 Quinta dos Roques Reserva Dao (Previously 30) ($14.99)

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "A closed, dark, tight wine, with an austere, mineral character, that obviously needs considerable aging. Smoky, meaty, dark tannins are dominant here, the black berry fruit showing through the powerful structure. Keep for 3-4 years." (8/1/2009) The fruit flavors on this wine are predominately dark, with blackberry notes leading the way. Very pure and focused, as well as primary given the bottle age and vintage, the wine has solid tannins providing some grip and a reason to grill up a steak on a Sunday night. Enjoy now and over the next 3-4 years.
