1988 is not any easy vintage, and I have only tasted one before, which was Warre and I remember it as quite good.
Decanted 5 hrs. Medium dark red colour with a touch brown. Deep sweet aroma. This vintage port is dominated by alcohol, and less fruit than I could expect. Sweet, raspberrystyle. Medium body and short finish. There is not much “there” in this port. I am getting the impression that this port is “over the hill”. 85 pts.

Not a Port one sees very often so thanks for the note on this one even though it wasn't so great.
