1985 Offley Boa Vista Vintage Port

  • 1985 Offley Boa Vista Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto (9/10/2011)
    Upon opening, fully brown with the alcohol a bit hot, but with some nice sweetness. I double decanted the wine at 4pm and then served it at 9pm. By then, the color had improved to a rust red and the alcohol had completely calmed down. A fully mature wine that's easy to drink, with nice fruit and sweetness. The wine won't improve at this point and should be drunk over the next couple of years. (88 pts.)
