Traditional cork (unfiltered), no bottling date is indicated on the label. This was not decanted (though there is no noticable sediment) and has now been open for 30+ hours.
A dark purple port, opaque at the center. The nose is of leafy, slightly smokey, black currant and black cherry fruit. Smooth dark fruit up front gives way to a touch of black pepper on the midpalate and then a relatively dry, savory finish that shows some chalky tannins and hints at bitter chocolate and black olive. A fairly restrained style but with plenty of character. Good stuff! 89 pts, Tasted 11/11

Love learning here as I've never seen nor heard of Maritavora until a week or so ago here.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
