I checked in and saw zachys 1633 went for 800, less than their low (900) but still a pretty high price for those bottles. I was surprised how high, in general, prices were for the auction. Many bottles (non-port) went above their low, and even close to their high.

And some went above the high. But I am a confirmed non-winner. I put in some bids at the low, and some in between. On that lot I mentioned previously, it went for the low, which I also bid, but first come first served. Bid early and bid often I suppose. If I had been watching live I would have gotten that lot, but I might have spent more on others too and that might not have been a good thing. Sometimes I submit bids, sometimes I follow live.

There is a US auction coming up this saturday; a group of us are bidding jointly and aim to win the older Port vintage lots. If anyone else was of a similar mind, I'd encourage you to reach out to me. Y'know, just because :D No particular reason :D

ps - don't be shy, someone from FTLOP already reached out. We're all one big happy band of port drinkers, not wheelin-dealin investors.
