Emergency! What to open?
It's one of those days, and to make it a bit better we need to open a very good bottle of wine tonight. The options are:
- Qta. do Passadouro Douro Reserva 2008
- Poeira Douro 2007
- Chateau Malescot St. Exupery Margaux 2004
- Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino 2004
- E. Guigal Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde 2001
What would you choose? (It will go with roast leg of lamb.)
Cheers,
Ronald

I'm not familiar with the last 3, so I'll chose the Passadouro

Re: Emergency! What to open?
You're a great help guys, really.
Anyway, we chose the Passadouro, because we felt like drinking a young brutal wine that's still in its primary fruit phase. And it was exactly that. Great wine, did very well with the lamb. I think I need some more to see where this is going in 10 years time.

Well, the last three are from small but upcoming wine areas you may have heard of: France and Italy, just North and East of the Douro, but obviously, nowhere near as good!Andy Velebil wrote:I'm not familiar with the last 3, so I'll chose the Passadouro
