1985 Calem Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 3 hours - Deep red, colour holding into the rim - 80% opaque. Subdued on the nose, quite dominated by farmyard smells and a little VA. Sweet but flavourless entry, which reveals stewed plums. Quite big-bodied and full-flavoured although with quite a rustic / compost tone in the mouth. Big and burly aftertaste; long and sweet finish. Guessed to be W83, OBV85 and Ca85 (by me, based on a clue) 88 points
