1982 Croft Vintage Port

Decant: Not Known - Very pale in colour, a deep amber; perhaps only 10% opaque. Fresh and fragrant on the nose - like grass just after a rain shower. Smooth, empty and somewhat hollow entry; lots of sweet, sugary flavours and some woody bitterness. Little growth or development on the palate. Harsh aftertaste before some floral flavours come through on the finish. I considered this to be a weak wine; others liked it far more than I did. Guessed to be Noval 1978. 78 points
