1970 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: 6 hours - Deep red core, 80% opaque. Gorgeous nose, full of perfect fruit. Sharp - almost sour - impact with considerable acidity and faint remnants of tannins. The flavours build nicely, but always an unpleasant sharpness. Sweet rosehips show on the finish with a sweet essence. This gives teh impression of needing a little more time. Served blind and guessed to be the Dow. 86 points
