Decant: 1 hour - Ex-cellars from Vila Nova de Gaia. 90% opaque; deep red in colour with a slight lightening on the rim but showing less evolved than the Graham 1980 shown alongside. Fresh juniper and redcurrants on the nose. Slightly more evolved than the Graham 1980 with lovely elegant fruit and a delightful balance to the wine. Less sweet than the Graham, and with a delightful balance. There is a slight gap on the aftertaste, but the finish is full of sweet fruit and dry cocoa. 92 points
