NV Graham's Emperor Tawny Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 24 hours - Bottled around 1975-1980 and sealed with a screw cap. Decanted off a little sludgy sediment. The colour of burnt sugar, green on the rim. Very little on the nose, perhaps some fresh-cut grass. Toffee apples on the palate, but with a nice core of ripe apple acidity. Decent range of flavours on the palate. Long finish of burnt sugar and hard toffee. Not a bad port, and a pleasant glass - perhaps two - for the evening. 81/100. Drunk 31 May 2011 after 24 hours of decanting. 81 points
