1991 Quinta de la Rosa Vintage Port

Decant: 24 hours - Deep red colour, youthful but not a baby; opaque. Lovely and inviting nose; sweet but with an offsetting mandarin citrus edge. Swirling reveals a lovely floral essence. Young smelling, but past the first flush of youth. Intense and concentrated in the mouth, very spicy but with such sweet fruit. Lovely on the palate. A long aftertaste that promises much for the future and certainly one which will continue to improve for at least another 10 years. Guessed to be Bomfim 1987. 91 points
