CARM consists of five quintas of which Quinta do Coa is maybe the best known. The label and the info on their web site is not giving info from where this wine is originating, except saying Douro Superior.
Decanted 1.5 hrs. Dark red colour. Deep complex aroma dominated by oak (in an acceptable way), fruit and something smoked. Medium to full body. Smooth, quite dry in style. Mild tannins. Possibly a bit too much oak. A wine with character. Long finish. A nice Douro red and a step up from the Reserva of the same year. 89 pts.

Rune, the wines labeled under the CARM logo are usually a blend of juice from the different quintas the family owns. Except for the Qta. d. Coa which is bottled as a single quinta. They used to make more single quintas in the past (especially the Qta. d. Urze wines were very good) but not anymore.
