TN: 2009 Casa de Casal de Lovois Douro red

Produced by Van Zeller. 3 hrs decanting. Medium dark red colour with a touch of purple. Burgundy style aroma, red fruit, slightly sweet and a bit Douro. Medium body. Powerful, quite elegant, nice tannins, medium to long aftertaste. Quite a nice Douro red that benefits from being consumed with food, not so much on its own. My first Casal de Lovois, and it’s promising. Will buy more. 91 pts.
