Found this recently at my local wine shop for $30 and given older single varietals are a bit hard to come by, thought I'd give it a try. I opened this yesterday while grilling up some dry aged steaks. Then it was lean, tart, and not very appealing so into the fridge it went. Today the tartness is gone and has been replaced with dusty leather and iodine. Still light bodied and pretty straight forward with a one dimensional dried cherry finish. Now is a good time to drink this up.

Hi Andy, that is one of the lowest scores I have seen in a long time on a Portugese wine, regardless of price - and this one isn't exactly cheap either, ouch!
