I kept two bottles of this which I bought on release as an experiment to see how this relatively inexpensive Douro wine would age. At 8 years old I figured it was a good time to check in on it. Bright tart red fruit are outpaced by very prominent dusty tannins. Nice acidity on the medium length finish give it some lift. Based on this bottle it appears to be at peak as the tannins are just starting to outpace the fruit.
