1980 Graham Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 12 hours - Deep red, but showing some early maturity; 80% opaque. Open and inviting on the nose, masses of cinammon and pine needles. Silky, beautiful texture. Light bodied, with dry and chalky tannins. Ripe and fragrant on the palate, in an early phase of maturity, with lots of plums and dark cherry. Dry n the finish, still softly tannic, with a red jelly and sticky lychee finish. Very tasty, but still quite youthful. Served blind, this was guessed to be Fonseca 1970. 91 points
