2006 Grahams LBV Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: Pop 'n' pour - Bottled filtered in 2011.

Magenta in colour, virtually opaque. Muted nose an attractive mix of tobacco, pine needles and blueberry. Nice texture on the palate; the flavours on entry are modest, but fruit dominated. Medium bodied, with soft tannins and gentle acidity supporting the red cherry fruit. Pleasing balance of vibrant fruit and mature tones. Fruity aftertaste, then a dry and chalky blackcurrant skin finish of impressive length.

Very pleasant filtered LBV, although not particulary complex. Enjoyable. 83 points
