Decant: 8 hours - Army & Navy bottled. Slight sediment at the bottom of the glass and the third darkest of the ports at the tasting. Gentle nose, more subdued than the odler wines. Attractive nose, spearmint but little fruitiness. Delicious impact, some lovely gooseberry and brown sugar. Great palate, good balance with lovely flavours and gentle complexity. Gerntle burnt sugar aftertaste and a gentle, ginger finish. 87 points
