1970 Warre Vintage Port

Decant: 5½ hours - Medium depth of colour, 40% opaque - clearly mature. Cranberries and junipers on the nose, but in a restarined way. Sweet on the palate with generous fruit and very gentle tannins; this grows on the palate with elegance and balance. Lots of very perfumed fruit on palate and finish. Really good port. Served blind, this was guessed to be Niepoort 1983. 90 points
