1984 Warre LBV Port
Decant: 3 hours - Bottle aged, bottled in 1988. Decanted cleanly off some heavy sediment. Rose red, 40% opaque, smelling of very sweet wild strawberries. Sweet and fairly simple on the palate, pleasant but without much complexity. Light-bodied. Tasty, lingering aftertaste of soft red licorice. A pleasant port, but not up to the same standard as the recently drunk 1986 LBV. 83 points
