And are you planning on buying any to chill down or mix with other beverages for the warmer months?

Rose/Pink Ports, your thoughts now?
Some newer members probably aren't aware of the "Great debate" that went on in many threads when Pink/Rose Ports were first being launched. I can't think of any single issue here on
that consumed so many threads and elicited such strong emotions, which flowed very freely in those discussions. Now that it's been some years later Rose Ports appear to be here for the long haul and weren't some overnight sensation as some predicted. Curious as to what peoples thoughts are about these Ports now?

Ambivilent.
If the trade can make themselves more solvent with it great. Otherwise don't care.
I have never tried any of these--I would if offered a glass, but not inclined to buy at all.

Still have yet to try any, mostly because I haven't see any for offer in my usual brick and mortar stores (both are small, though one has an excellent port selection)

Don't drink them much. I can see the appeal for the right situation, but rarely drink white port as well.

Re: Rose/Pink Ports, your thoughts now?
I don't think I've actually seen a proper pink port over here, but I'm not going out of my way to find one either. There is an equivalent Australian product (the winemaker was involved in the development of the Croft pink too), but I feel much the same about that. I can see the application for use in mixers, and the drinks that I have had that have been made with a pink port have been pleasant enough, but when it comes down to it, if the conditions are right for a pink port mixer, they are right for a beer too and I know which I'd prefer.
