2011 Burmester Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: Not Known - Deep red with a purple rim. Open on the nose, but still quite tanky with not much more complexity than pure grape juice. Fruity and attractive on the palate at first, but a bitter sappy tone comes through in the mid-palate. The tannins are light and gentle. The bitterness and late acidity also flow through on to the aftertaste and persistent finish. 85-87. 85 points
