1940 Cabral White Colheita Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: Not Known - Honey brown in colour with a hint of green on the rim. Maderised nose, iodine and walnuts but on the palate this is full of honey and hazelnut oil. The aromatics are very pleasant, with a light body, gentle acidity and a slight oiliness. Big aftertaste with a long finish mixing a slight peanut-skin bitterness with gentle brown sugar. Clearly a colheita or tawny. Served blind, this was guessed to be Andresen 1982 colheita. 85 points
