1983 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: 12 hours - Mid red, pale rim; 30% opaque. Rubber on the nose, rather smelly. Smooth entry with a soft texture, then coffee and a bit of burnt rubber on the palate giving a smokey impression with some fragrance coming through on the later palate. A bit of heat then a charcoal tone and a lingering birch sap finish of good length. Not showing as well as would be expected. 84 points
