1977 Warre Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 1 hour - Deep red, 70% opaque. Subdued on the nose with lots of dusty redcurrants. Very dusty on the palate, medium in weight. Lots of delicate floral flavours develop late, with the delicacy perhaps indicating a lightweight palate rather than a medium weight Very powdery tannins, very dusty and consistent with the delicacy of the wine. Soft and very sweet finish, full of icing sugar and bubbe gum, A little shorter on the finish that most of the other ports shown alongside. 88 points
