This product belongs to “Niepoort Projectos”. Recently available here in Norway in a very limited number. All bottles available were in 37.5 cl. Golden transparent colour actually resembling of bronze! An appealing look, and the wine had an aroma of nuts and herbs. A very elegant balanced taste and style. Relatively sweet. Full bodied and long after-taste. A little touch of tawny style. After this first test I immediately went to the shop and purchased more. Tasted August 6th, 2010. 93 points

2000 Niepoort Douro Moscatel do Douro - Portugal, Douro (6/12/2012)
-- popped and poured --
-- tasted non-blind from a 375 mL bottle over a few hours --
NOSE: expressive: golden raisins; brown sugar; hint of prunes; tawny aspect (sugared roasted pecans); botrytis (I believe).
BODY: amber color of medium-deep depth; full bodied.
TASTE: sweet; golden raisins and a hint of dried pineapple; oak; sugared pecans (tawny) at the edge; low acidity; 20% alc. is well-hidden, but for a touch of retronasal fuminesss and a hint of warmth in the belly. Quite delicious. This is part of Niepoort's "Projectos" series. Finally, I'm still awaiting confirmation from Niepoort on this point, but I believe this was bottled in 2008 or 2009.
B: 50, 5, 12, 15, 7 = (89 pts.)

Hi Brian!
In the nearly two years that have passed since I posted the above tasting note, abt 6-7 bottles have been consumed (still have two left), and they have in my opinion been in the range 91-93 pts. A very nice product.
