TN: 1940 Barros Colheita Port

Decant: None - Bottled 1999. Chestnut colour, not decanted off the sediment and cloudy as a result. Empty nose, with the typical beef bouillion of a madeira. Mouthfeel is good and rich but flavours are odd with some very unpleasant tones in there - rubber, bitter cherry, raw almonds. Unpleasant. Aftertaste is long but not great until 2-3 minutes later when it becomes quite enjoyable. 88 points
