TN: 1970 Borges Vintage Port

Decant: 4 hours - Light rim and light centre but still with good pigment. Very slight hint of VA on the nose, but lively and with fruit showing well. In the mouth this is sweet, hollow and bland with very little of the fruit promised by the nose. This is an extremely simple port with a poor palate and the aftertaste does not do it any favours, being simple and short and dominated by red licorice. 82 points
