TN: 1970 Butler Nephew Vintage Port

Decant: 4 hours - Transparent centre, good colour but starting to lighten significantly. A slight touch of bottle stink on the nose, erring towards fresh compost - not particularly attractive, despite the raisins mixed in. Bland in the mouth, simple and hollow, sweet but with little else. The aftertaste shows great heat initially but when the heat fades the remainder is quite pleasant and of decent length. 84 points
