TN: 2000 Cockburn LBV Port

Decant: None - Filtered style, bottled 2005. Decanted completely cleanly through coffee filter paper leaving no residue. D+0:- Mid-red colour, still showing some youth but without the vibrant purple of babyhood. Sweet redcurrant jelly on the nose; very dry in the mouth, initially full of sour cherry but then an interesting sage complexity; very acidic, slightly thin in texture. Aftertaste a little short, but enjoyable. A decent filtered LBV. 83 points
