Decant: 5 hours - Shipped and bottled by Courtenay Wines (International) Ltd of NW11; a bottle that had been seeping very slightly and was rewaxed at home. Very dep red in colour, centre barely transparent. Fresh nose of ripe blueberries with rose petal perfume. Huge impact, big wine with quite a thick texture; gets to be quite massive with wonderful development and complexity revealing dark brroding cherry and tannins that have softened but not gone. Lovely acidity balances the bitter chocolate and espresso bean. A huge aftertaste, full of flavour and filling the mouth with dark cherry, bitter chocolate and lovely, long finish of caramel. A great bottle of a stunning wine, which will improve still further with more time in the cellar. 95 points
