TN: 1963 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port

Decant: 4½ hours - Mid-red colour with hickory smoke on the nose over a floral lavender and cherry bouquet. Rich mouthfeel with dust and then cranberries and lots of fruit; some fatness and a great acidic structure. A warm aftertaste bringing red licorice. This port took quite a time to develop in the glass to its full potential, but an hour later the nose had opened up and was magnificent. 94 points
