TN: 1937 Ramos Pinto Colheita Port

Decant: None - Bottled 1979. Very pale colour, glowing golden syrup. Grass smoke on the nose, some orange peel under this smoke. Not a great deal there and what was present later turned to burnt rubber. Very smooth entry, bringing caramelised oranges and marmalades. Super complexity with great development. The aftertaste is a little empty initially and did not match the promise of the mid-palate but late on some flavours of bitter lemon and seville oranges appear on the adge of the tongue and stay for long time. 93 points
