TN: 1980 Smith Woodhouse Vintage Port

Decant: 4 hours - Dark red colour with the centre of the glass just being transparent. Strange nose, a little tight but a lovely minty tone. Thick and sweet in the mouth, with a good tannic structure inside a ripe bramble fruit essence with an interesting pine sap note. Very sweet and with waves of fruit coming through in the mid-palate. Very good length with many phases before it finally fades away. 6/6. 90 points
