TN: 1935 Taylor Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 3 hours - One of the Unknown 1955 bottles acquired at auction and shared with Julian. This bottle was distinctly different from the others and appeared to be much older glass than the others. The cork was branded Taylor 1935.

A light, burnt siennna colour; very transparent. A little oxidised on the nose (mid-shoulder fill), smelling of burnt oranges and rosemary. Smooth in the mouth; dry, acidic and slightly hot. Some good complexity and flavours on the palate. Pleasant and gentle aftertaste, one which grows quite impressively in size and weight. 84 points
