TN: 1992 Quinta do Vesuvio Family Reserve Tawny Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: Just Opened - From a half bottle , filled approximately 6 months ago. Mature colour, rose-red and paling to pink on the rim, slightly cloudy appearance even after filtering through coffee paper. Smooth, sweet and concentrated caramel on the nose, with lovely redcurrant syrup and some curry or coriander. The concentrated sweetness comes through in the mouth, backed by a lovely thick texture. Lots of ripe - perhaps even over-ripe - redcurrants. Masses of mid-palate activity, truly tasty stuff. The aftertaste is sweet and voluptuous, not big and huge but very long. Lovely to sip. 90 points
