TN: 1947 Warre Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 104 hours - A bit of heat showing on the nose, sweet roses with farmyard manure. Sweet impact in the mouth, rose-hip syrup with a bitterness in the mid-palate. Lovely thick texture and delightful layers of sweet candy flavours. Very hot aftertaste, followed by a long, dark licorice finish. A little lacking in focus from a lack of acidity on the palate, but a lovely elegant port. 89 points
