The first paragraph is shocking to me.

And so are some glaring inaccuracies...like "Quinta do Noval's Cristiano van Zeller" Now, I know what she's trying to get at, but the average reader would think he's still associated with Noval and not figure out that the Dona Maria wine she tasted was his. [dash1.gif]

And last I checked Ferreira was owned by Sogrape.

I have enjoyed her articles in the past, but in this article she's to blame for people getting wrong info about Portuguese wines. Which is quite ironic since her article is about "The puzzle of Portuguese Wine." This one wasn't very clearly written and only adds to the confusion people may already have. [help.gif]

A nice article on Douro wines, with a few mistaken facts/spellings etc., still I like her style:

Steve,

I merged these two topics and it kept Roy's new Subject heading for some reason instead of your original which I now can't change, sorry about that.

No problem, Andy. But let the record show that somehow I posted this before Roy did. Not really sure what that guy is doing! [foilhat.gif]

My knowledge of Portuguese wine is lacking but I was interested in her comment about not imagining Australian's thinking Grange was overrated. I'll go on record here stating that I think it is! It's not even my favorite in the Penfolds range and the price paid for a single bottle would get you a few of most other top Australian wines. I'm not sure that she knows that many Australians
