from a 375ml bottle. This was very tight when opened and it took the best part of 2 hours, almost 3, before this got its sea-legs. Blackberries and just a touch of youthful oak on the nose. Full bodied, with lots of dusty tannins overlaying tar and meatiness on the finish. The minerality really stands out and keeps this wine in firmly line and continues well into the long finish. While a tough vintage for most Douro wines, Quinta do Crasto hit a home run with this one.

Andy Velebil Good wine is a good familiar creature if it be well used. William Shakespeare http://www.fortheloveofport.com
