Post by Andy Velebil »

A friend sent me some new scores on 2007 & 2008 Douro wines. I hope the prices are the upper end of suggested retail and not the average selling price. A lot of 92 pointers in this batch and some really good bargins as well...

2008 Niepoort Batuta 92 points $100

2008 Niepoort Charme 92 points $100

2008 Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora Do Carmo Touriga Nacional 92 points $75

2008 Quinta do Noval DOuro 92 points $105

2008 Quinta do Passadouro 92 points $25

2008 Ramos Pinto Duas Quintas Reserva 92 points $39

2008 Duorum Reserva Old Vines 91 points $45

2008 Vitivinicola Carla Ferreira Unipessoal Douro Conceito 91 points $45

2008 Poeira Douro 91 points $45

2008 Quinta de la Rosa Reserva 91 points $45

2008 Dourum Douro 90 points $na

2008 Quina do Passadouro Reserva 90 points $70

2008 Callabriga (Sogrape) 90 points $17

Usually the Spectator reflects full retail prices, so I suspect that these will be available for significantly less.
