20 year old tawny by Quinta do Noval
Bottled 2009. Decanted 2 hrs. Light transparent brown with a touch of red. More spirit in the aroma than I like, furthermore nuts (incl almonds), oranges and slightly bitter. Taste is powerful, full body, balanced, something smoked, oak, elegant but not really smooth. Medium length in the aftertaste. Would have got better score with less spirit in the aroma. 91 pts.
