1980 Sandeman Vintage Port
served blind

Color: Medium dark red, not opaque
Nose: Candied apple, soft strawberry. Faint mint and spice.
Palate: Medium tart and slightly sweet. Fruits starting to seem secondary, but not quite there yet. Faint spiciness.
Finish: Pleasant, with a nice apple tail.

Score: 92+ points. This was the nicest Port of the first flight 6, which was surprising to me after the reveal because I really haven't had good luck with Sandeman. This is the first Sandeman I've had that I can actually say I liked and might consider buying.
