1985 Dow Vintage Port
served blind

Color: Very dark purple - darkest and most opaque of the flight.
Nose: Weeds? Raw dark fruits. Green bell pepper?
Palate: Good tannins, semi-dry. Red and purple fruits, but tart.
Finish: Good grip, good warmth, and just ... weirdness. A bit strange.

Score: 91 points. I guessed incorrectly that this was one of the two ringers in the 1985 flight. I also noted a suspicion that it might be a Dow, but wasn't sure. It's becoming very clear to me that Dow just isn't my style, as I consistently rate them lower than just about everyone else. Oh well, the Symingtons have nothing to fear because the opposite is true of Graham!
