1987 Taylor Quinta de Vargellas Vintage Port
served blind

Color: Garnet with some purple hints. Slightly cloudy or murky.
Nose: Blackberry, blueberry. Nice and dark.
Palate: Good fruit, some tannins. Possibly some very faint black pepper. Very late some spiciness.
Finish: Very even and good length.

Score: 91 points. I picked this as the 1987 Vargellas, and thus one of the two ringers in the 1985 flight. I had an uneasy feeling that this bottle wasn't showing particularly well, but couldn't really identify anything that might be "wrong" with it.
